The Organizing Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the Biobone Symposium and contributed to its success – invited speakers, external presenters and Biobone-ITN members.
The Biobone Symposium – Bioceramics for Bonre Repair was held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, between 13-15 of October 2015.
The programme for the Biobone Symposium is available here.
The Biobone Symposium addressed the processing, structural, surface and mechanical characterization of bioinert and bioactive ceramics, as well as bioactive glasses used for dental and orthopaedic implants, while assessing how such properties affect cell-material interactions in biological conditions.
The symposium created a unique opportunity for young researchers to showcase their work alongside some of the leaders in the field of biomaterials for hard tissue regeneration, allowing the in-depth discussion of current and future challenges.
